THE MANY REACTION OF AN INSENSITIVE WITHDRAWAL OF FUEL SUBSIDY

Just when Nigerians are still in pain from the many attacks of the Boko Haram sect, the federal governments decides to surprise us  with the mother of all attacks, with The sudden withdrawal of the subsidy which is nothing but a complete insensitive decision to make when the country is experiencing major security set backs.

In any given situation the primary function of  the government is to protect the poor from the manipulative tendencies of the rich. Any economic decision that does not support these principles is a wrong economic decision.

By removing the subsidy on petroleum products at this time when we have more pressing issues to deal with is a clear indication of the weakness of our own  government not understanding what is priority to the masses but more ways to enrich them selves

By its own arguments the government has finally admitted that it cannot confront these CABAL, tackle the corruption in the sector and bring them to book. Instead government has decided to put the weight on the defenseless masses by removal of the subsidy.

This decision is wicked and completely insensitive. We shall continue to resist this policy and continue to insist that government properly plays its role of managing the subsidy program to eliminate waste and check corruption in the system. We cannot continue to suffer for the inadequacies of the government.

We really do not need the federal government subsidy as there was none in the first place from the analysis done by Professor Tam David West, former Petroleum Minister. What is lacking is the will to enforce LAW ON CORRUPTION.

It's only in this country, government makes a decision they term'' positive'' without making alternative  plans to manage  the effect on her citizen. The big question is this, WHO WILL MANAGE THE RETURNS FROM THE REMOVAL ? IS IT THIS SAME GOVERNMENT? THEN WE ARE IN FOR A SHOW DOWN!!1

We have a right to protest peacefully and we should continue to do so until this policy is reversed.
